Peer Review Process

IJMPOG applies a rigorous double-blind peer review process before any article is published. Peer review assists editors in making editorial decisions and, through editorial communication with authors, may also assist authors in improving their manuscripts. Only qualified referees with recognized expertise in the relevant subject areas will be invited to review a submission.

Any manuscript received for review is treated as a confidential document and will not be shown to or discussed with others except when authorized by the Editor-in-Chief. Reviews are conducted objectively, and observations should be formulated clearly with supporting arguments so that authors may use them to improve their manuscripts.

Reviewers are expected to identify relevant published works that have not been cited by the authors and to notify the editors of any substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript under review and any other work, whether published or unpublished. The suggested decision from reviewers will be evaluated in an editorial board meeting, after which the editor will communicate the final decision to the corresponding author. The review process generally takes approximately 4 to 8 weeks.

Decision Categories

Reject

Rejected manuscripts will not be published. Authors will not have the opportunity to resubmit a revised version of the manuscript to this journal.

Resubmit for Review

The submission requires substantial revision and reworking. If the necessary improvements are made, the manuscript may be reconsidered; however, it will require a full second round of peer review.

Accept with Revisions

Manuscripts receiving this decision may be published provided that minor or major revisions are completed to the satisfaction of the editor and, where necessary, the original reviewers. The revised manuscript will be reviewed by the editor to ensure that all required changes have been properly addressed before publication.

Accept

Accepted manuscripts will be published in their current form without further modification, subject to minor copyediting.
